How It Works

Laser tattoo removal is a non-invasive procedure that uses focused pulses of light energy to break apart tattoo ink particles embedded in the skin's dermal layer. The Toro is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that combines nanosecond and picosecond pulse modes across three wavelengths to target virtually all ink colors safely and effectively. Each treatment is calibrated to your tattoo's specific ink colors, depth, and location to maximise ink clearance while protecting the surrounding skin.

Three Wavelengths, Every Ink Color

Different ink colors absorb different wavelengths of light, which is exactly why many tattoos only partially fade with basic laser systems. The Toro solves this with three distinct wavelengths matched to your ink:

• 1064nm — ideal for dense black and dark inks, and safe for deeper skin tones

• 532nm — targets warm colors like red, orange, yellow, and brown

• 785nm (picosecond) — breaks down the notoriously stubborn blues and greens many older lasers leave behind

Because it covers the full color spectrum, the Toro is built to fade virtually any ink, not just the easy ones.

What to Expect

Each session typically takes 15–45 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the tattoo. Most clients describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snap against the skin, noticeable but well tolerated, especially with topical numbing if needed.

Treatment Timeline:

• First signs of fading: typically visible after 4–6 weeks

• Full removal: usually 5–10 sessions over 12–24 months

• Session spacing: every 8-12 weeks

• Recovery: mild tenderness for 3–7 days

Results depend on factors like the tattoo's ink colors, depth, age, and your skin tone, black and dark inks tend to respond fastest, while colors like blue and green may need additional sessions. Many tattoos can be removed completely or faded dramatically with this technology.

Note: Clients should avoid direct sun exposure and fake tan for around four weeks before and after each session, since these treatments target color in the skin.

Consultations are required prior to treatment, and a have a letter from GP or Dermatologist with a recent skin check.
